Astondoa Yachts for Sale

Astondoa Yachts was established by Jesus and Jose Astondoa Martinez in 1916, when it started by constructing rowboats but paused production due to the war. The yard picked up production again in 1944 when Jesus’s son took over and built wooden boats, to great acclaim. Later in the 80s, the family grew along with technology and began building its boats in polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass. Company History

Founded in Spain in 1916 by brothers Jesus and Jose Astondoa Martinez, the yard began its building with rowboats and traineras, but was placed on hold due to the Spanish Civil War.

Eventually picking back up again in 1944, Jesus’s son took over the yard and began creating wooden boats with top-quality finishes, which gained the yard national recognition and popularity. Keeping within the family, and keeping up with technology, by the 80s, the family began boat building with polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass.

Today, the yard has built upwards of 3,000 vessels, which include 40ft (12m) open boats, yachts over 120 feet (36.5m) built of polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass, as well as mega yachts up to 147 feet (45m) long with more traditional steel hulls and aluminum superstructures.
